The Financial Literacy Program at the State Treasurer’s Office is an initiative that was implemented during Treasurer Eichenberg’s first year in office. This program is intended to teach financial literacy to youth across New Mexico to prepare them with the money management skills they will need in the future. The State Treasurer’s Office has also collaborated with the Attorney General’s Office to educate students and senior citizens about the dangers of identity theft and to be “cyber aware.” Unfortunately, due to the State budget, the State Treasurer’s Office is no longer visiting schools to train students.
